Welcome to Mitchell County, NC Register of Deeds Website. Our mission is to record, protect, preserve, maintain accuracy and provide access to all public records in accordance with the laws established by the
State of North Carolina. The Mitchell County Register of Deeds staff is fully committed to providing courteous and professional service to our customers.
We want to provide citizens with access to their public records using the most up to date user friendly technology. Our online records search can be accessed from this site and contains all real estate indexes and images from 1994 to present. To view indexes and images from 1861-1993 click on Index Book Viewer on the Search Menu.
Our office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (Except Holidays)
We accept cash, credit & debit, checks or money orders.
